Preview: "Sanbiki no Mesubuta ~Kangoku no Nejiro~" by Valkyria

With release due on November 24th, Valkyria's newest game is a tried and tested concept: an evil empire invades three peaceful kingdoms and takes their princesses as prisoners. Now they will endure hellish sexual training and humiliation at the hands of their captors. Will the princesses endure the madness and restore the hope of their nations? Or will they be reduced to mere breeding sows? I think we all know the answer.

Nerdy Ramblings about the Title

But first, some etymology. Because I'm a huge fucking dweeb. Feel free to skip to the next section if you find talking about Japanese wordplay boring.

Sanbiki no Mesubuta ~Kangoku no Nejiro~ is a pretty fun title. It's one of those titles where the furigana (reading) has one simpler meaning, but the kanji gives a more complete idea by playing around with swapping some of its components for others that are sound the same but are different words altogether. In this case, the title reads as something like "Three Sows ~Prison Fortress~". Sanbiki (written as 三匹) means "Three" using the form of counting appropriate for animals, but the kanji is 三美姫, which also reads sanbiki but translates to "three beautiful princesses". Moreover, 三匹の子豚 (Sanbiki no Kobuta) is the Japanese name of the Three Little Pigs fairy tale, a title this game's title is clearly meant to invoke.  In "Kangoku", the word for prison would usually be 監獄, but the title swaps 監 for 姦, which can mean rape or sexual assault (姦獄 isn't an actual word). So, the Kanji title would roughly translate to something like "Three Beautiful Sow Princesses ~Rape Prison Caslte~". Gets the idea across more clearly but is less elegant as a title, which is why puns like these are usually employed.

Synopsis

Well, the premise is pretty self-explanatory, but it doesn't hurt to go into more detail and bring information about the actual story and setting translated from the game's promotional campaign.

The three allied Kingdoms of Brattenhardt, Duchâteau, and Flores enjoyed a long period of peace, but that quickly crumbled when the evil Altersia Empire, the strongest military power of the era, invaded and quickly occupied the Kingdoms, taking the royal families, including the three Royal Princesses Aries Brattenhardt, Charlene Duchâteau and Mireia Flores as prisoners.

The commander of the military invasion, Felix, is ordered by the Altersian Emperor himself to defile and humiliate the princesses, who are the symbols of hope for the future of their respective Kingdoms, and make them swear complete loyalty to the Empire so that they nip in the bud any burgeoning desire the population might have to revolt and overthrow imperial rule for their Kingdoms.

Felix has vast experience in corrupting women and starts planning in how to destroy their pure and noble hearts so that they abandon their pride and rationality and become obedient sows that live only to fuck.

Aries Brattenhardt

The Princess of Brattenhardt. With a noble and dignified appearance, she excels at both scholastic and military matters. Passionate and patriotic, she believes it's her duty to protect her beloved subjects.

Despite being a Royal, she is involved in a wide range of activities as a Knight, from disaster relief to actual combat, and has earned numerous military accolades.

Due to her rigorous training as a swordswoman, Aries' body is healthy of body and spirit and her feminine side shines through her outstanding proportions. She receives numerous marriage propositions from other countries, but she continues to decline, for she believes that until fate brings her ideal partner who's stronger than her, her love is her country.

She has known the allied princesses Charlene and Mireia from childhood, and they are close friends, almost like sisters. Aries is the eldest among them.

The valiant Aries will have her pride and patriotism stomped out as she's humiliated for the whole nation to see.

Charlene Duchâteau

The princess of the Kingdom of Duchâteau, which thrives on commerce and trade.

She's a stylish beauty who turns heads wherever she goes with her charm, which helps her work of promoting her nation.

On the other hand, she's very prideful and has a selfish and whimsical side due to her pampered upbringing. Compared to her close friends Aries and Mireia, she's a lot more bratty. The people gossip that due to her personality, she'll be a handful to whoever she ends up marrying in the future.

Close friends and family call her Charle.

Cheeky Charlene's rebellious nature will be curbed by one-sided hardcore domination.

Mireia Flores

Height: 161cm

Princess of the Kingdom of Flores, blessed with vegetal and mineral resources.

Mireia has a graceful personality befitting of a Kingdom with such a rich natural environment. A pure-hearted maiden who is known as a "Princess among Princesses" due to her elegance, politeness, and compassion.

Her benevolent face and regal aura bear a resemblance to her mother the Queen consort, and she enjoys strong support from the people.

She has a glamourous figure, with her breasts in particular attracting a lot of attention, with some people going as far as to jokingly call them "the Blessed Peaks of Flores"

She has a beloved to whom she is promised to and they'll soon be engaged. That man is Aries' older brother and Second Prince of Brattenhardt, Wolff.

The twisted pleasure of desecrating her voluptuous body and betraying those she loves will be instilled into pure Mireia.

My Expectations

This game was on my radar the moment it got announced due to similarities with two of Valkyria's previous titles, Kangokujou and Zettai Fukujuu Princess, both centered around training royals into sex slaves with several possible outcomes. Sanbiki no Mesubuta even shares the same scenario writer as Zettai Fukujuu Princess, so I'm expecting a similar experience. Some endings where the girls are turned into broken public toilets, others where they become personal sex slaves, and some in-between. 

In that previous eroge, the writer was pretty creative (and cruel) with how the princesses interacted with their father in some endings (not sexually, just cruelty in general against the old King), so I'm looking forward to that in at least some routes. Besides the Netori with Mireia, there are mentions of fathers and brothers and whatnot for the other princesses, and I don't think they'd include that in the character bios if the game wasn't going to make use of that. Also, one of the preview CG shows Charlene getting railed alongside another blonde, which I'm hoping is her mother, and that there are more scenes like this. The game's official description does make a point to mention all members of the Royal Families were captured, after all.

Artist Ogin Bara is not one I'm super fond of, but to be fair every new work I see from them looks better than the previous one, and this one looks fantastic. In no small part thanks to the excellent coloring, too.

For a game that releases in one week and a half, there is not a lot of information about it in the sense of not knowing if the game will focus on the heroines separately or have more of a "using one to get to the others" focus like Kangokujou and Zettai Fukujuu Princess had, because that's a big plus in my book. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
